Writer Doodle Class

News from the HT PTA websiteA PTA enrichment class celebrating the serious fun of writing well for fourth, fifth and sixth graders who want to become better writers, clearer thinkers, even published authors.

Instructor Christine Pinto, a graduate of the University of Washington Certificate Program in Writing for Children, is an experienced author, writing instructor and NaNoWriMo (an author who has successfully written a novel during National Novel Writing Month).

Class Details
Schedule
Class meets Tuesdays 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. in the school library. We do not meet on days of early release.
Cost
$100 for each ten week session
Students may sign up for one session, two or all three depending on their interests and schedule.
Scholarships
If financial hardship is a deciding factor for your family, please ask about the possibility of scholarships. Limited partial scholarships may be available for enrichment classes. To apply, please contact the Family Advocate, Sherri Dobb, at (206) 393-4346 or sherri.dobb@shorelineschools.com.
Accommodations
Individuals requiring special accommodations to attend or participate in PTA’s meetings or events are requested to contact Bhairavi Shah bhairavishah@hotmail.com or 206-313-0689 in advance to allow for any necessary requirements.
Additionally, you may complete an Authorization of Exchange of Medical information found at http://schools.shorelineschools.org/studentservice/district-resources to allow our enrichment director to have access to the information from the nurse necessary to ensure your student has the appropriate accommodations in place. Due to privacy laws, the District cannot share this information with the PTA without consent from you.

Chaperons
Parents/guardians of participating students will be asked to attend 1-2 (depending on number of class participants) classes to assist with student supervision.
