Read-A-Thon

Congratulations to all the readers at Highland Terrace. This year’s Read-A-Thon was another huge success. Students raised more than $16,000 and read a total of 270,803 minutes during the 21-day event.  Our students rose to the challenge and increased the average number of minutes read per participant, and will enjoy an all-school dance party on March 24 to celebrate.  Thanks to parents, families, teachers, and the RAT committee for making this annual event happen!

Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers that put in countless hours behind the scenes of our largest fundraiser of the year.  We could not have done it without you: Jenn Aker, Rhonda Bachler, Marisa Berglund, Karlee Birt, Leslie Boyd, Principal Estephan, Kelly Fletcher, Janet Markwardt, Peggy Nicolas, Sandra Newby, Cory Peterson, Lisa Rezac, Jill Sismaet, and Heather Song.

And, thank you to our local businesses that donated food and gift certificates: Central Market, Edmonds Book Shop, Lynnwood Bowl and Skate, Third Place Books, Richmond Beach QFC and Spin Alley!
