Volunteers Are Still Needed for Science Night

Science Night is this Friday, Dec. 1, and we still need volunteers to help us pull off the event!  Please take a moment to look at what we need, and consider volunteering some of your time.  Even just 30 minutes could be a big help! Questions?  Email Nicolle at nicolle.r.rutherford@gmail.com.

CALLING ALL BAKERS!

It’s the time of year at Highland Terrace when we prepare a plate full of holiday cookies for all teachers and staff members.  This year we’ll be collecting the cookies and making the plates on Wednesday, December 13th.

To make this delicious delivery happen, it takes about 65 bakers.

How can you help?

  • Provide two dozen of your favorite holiday treats and/or
  • Help assemble the cookie plates

Cookies must be dropped off in the teachers’ break room by 9 am on Dec. 13th. We will start assembling the boxes right after the first bell.

Spring Art Walk Planning Team

It’s time to plan our Spring Art Walk and Fundraiser! Come join the planning meeting on Wednesday, March 22, at 9 am in the front office conference room. Coordinators are needed for the following areas: Volunteers, Crafts, Artwork Display, Classroom Projects, Gift Card Grab, and Bank. There are all sizes of jobs available, leading up through the day of the art walk. Also, we’re looking for one or two people who might be interested in taking the lead on this fun event! HT Playground – Looking for Toys!

The HT playground is a fun place to be these days.  We are looking for a few sturdy hand-me-downs to add to our fun.  If you have any of the following items please bring them to the office labeled Lisa Cornell.

We are looking for:

  • Matchbox/hot wheels cars, sturdy plastic cars/trucks
  • Gently used tennis balls

ROOTS OF EMPATHY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
